Roland Draxler Receives OAR Distinguished Career Award

Congratulations to ARL’s Roland Draxler for receiving an OAR Distinguished Career Award. Awardees are honored for cumulative career achievement of sustained excellence, rather than a single defined accomplishment, in specific categories. Winners are recognized for significant accomplishments across all NOAA program areas and functions resulting in long- term benefits to NOAA’s mission and strategic goals.
Roland Draxler received his award for significantly improving U.S. and international capabilities to respond to airborne hazards, including radionuclides, chemicals,and volcanic ash.
The awards ceremony will be held May 24th in the NOAA Science Center in Silver Spring, MD.
